No stranger to accolades, David has won many awards over his distinguished career which now spans nearly five decades. Undoubtedly our most famous wildlife artist who is also a conservationist and has become a giant amongst men in his profesion. His ambition was to become a game warden when young but did not get past the starting post with the head of the Kenya National Park. He did however study African wildife in its natural habitat where his painting began. He enjoyed his first success when he was a guest of the RAF in Aden in 1960 painting Slave Island and within two years hosted his first exhibition in London. He has appeared on TV and radio and has been the subject of a BBC documentary. His editions always sell out, most of them on release and demand remains as high as ever. David donates much of his income to a conservation trust.
