Jack Vettriano was Born in Scotland in 1951, he left school at sixteen to work in the coalfields. After receiving a set of watercolour paints for his twenty-first birthday taught himself to paint in his spare time. In the last ten years Vettriano has established himself as one of the country's leading contempary artists. His work now sells out rapidly worldwide and he has received extensive media coverage.
