Jean Claude Tron was born in Champagne sur Oise, France in 1943.

Despite numerous commissions and exhibitions at several prestiious galleries Jean Claude did not begin to devout all his energy to painting until 1990.

Jean Claude is passionate about the southern region of France, in particular Provence and this remains his essential source of inspiration. The sheer intensity of the colour of his palette ensure that his landscapes are aflame and the airy architecture of Jean Claude's canvases gives a sense of purity that tends to tip his limpid scenes into the unreal, "a world that radiates warmth and happiness, leaving space to dream..."
