John Lowrie Morrison

John Lowrie Morrison was born in Glasgow in 1948. After completing a degree in Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art he funded his painting by teaching and then as an Art Adviser for the Strathclyde Region. John developed his distinctive style travelling around Europe. Influenced by the work of the Expressionist School and his bold use of colour adds an energy and intensity to each image which persuades us not to view the landscape, but to experience it.

John now devotes himself to painting full time, he has a number of successful exhibitions in the UK, Hong Kong and New York, and he boasts and impressive array of celebrity admirers.
