Olly James Was born in Manchester in 1948. At the age of 21 she got her first big break in London, as a theatrical set designer. In 1999, after 30 years as principal set designer for many West End Shows she decided to spend her time persuing her first great love of painting, since making this transition to full time artist she has held three solo sell out exhibitions. Olly admits to having a "passion for the sky" and is fascinated by the constantly changing nature an infinite colour variations. Her published pieces explore the relationship between light and shadow, and their atmospheric tones have captured the imagination of collectors around the world.
