Richard Pargeter

Richard Pargeter was born in the Midlands in 1976. After he graduated from the University of Central England with a First Class Honours Degree in Visual Communication, Richard became a professional illustrator of childrens' books. He was invited to display a selection of his work at the New Designers Exhibition in London and Images 24, an exhibition which toured the country at selected galleries. Richard delights in the exploration of a rich colour palette inspired by the purples and golds of serene Provencale sunsets, and his harmonious pastoral images never fail to evoke memories of our best and longest summer days. "When the weather is grey and wet, you can look at one of my paintings and experience the warmth, and feel the colour lift the spirit".
